The  symbol allows you to edit the menu text or to add an image or even a table or link to the menu text field.
Selecting this item will call the main toolbar 

All the available options are available for inclusion in the menu field which opens many creative possibilities.

This includes the use of the graphics and file manager which you can access by clicking on the  symbol.
